The Client and Server were installed on the same pc (Windows 7 64-bit) and the client can connect without any issues on the localhost, but any attempt from any other pc on the network times out. The client has been configured with both ip and host name, https and https, with no success. Is it possible to troubleshoot this issue by looking at certain logs on the client or server?

It might be due to blockage by the windows' firewall. You have to add exceptions to the control panel firewall settings. You need to click "Add port" and add port no. "443" and give it any name such as CMS_port. Then clck "Add program" and selectC:/.../CMS3/bin/tomcat6. That should work now.
