You can attach the drug label printer to the PC (PC-A) in the dispensary first, then share the printer over the clinic network. After that the laptop (PC-B) in the consultation room or other PCs can use the shared printer. Here are some short steps you can walk through:
1. Plug the drug label printer USB to the PC-A, and install an appropriate drive for the printer.
2. Print a test label with PC-A.
3. Follow the steps in the section "Share your printer" in http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/maintain/printers.mspx on PC-A to share the label printer over the clinic network.
4. Follow the steps in the section "Connect to a shared printer" in http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/maintain/printers.mspx on PC-B to install the label printer.
5. Set up drug label printer of the CMS3 client to the drug label printer attached to PC-A. The printer name should be like "DRUG on PC-A".
6. Print a test label with PC-B.
Please note that PC-A must be turned on when PC-B wants to print with the drug label printer.

Q5: | After I installed OpenOffice after the installation of CMS3, why CMS3 suddenly cannot start up? | |
A5: |
We found that the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that OpenOffice installed to the OS could be conflicting to the JRE bundled in the CMS3 installer. To solve, please follow these steps:
1. Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Environment Variables > System variables.
2. Choose Path, then click Edit.
3. Find "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_13\bin\".
4. Cut and paste the above path to the front. (Please delimit the paths with semi-colon)
5. Click OK 3 times.
6. Start up the tomcat.
If problem does not solve, update to the latest JRE. You may download the latest JRE from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/
